While waiting
The red. Brick 88 ended with the frozen P5 --cut running
since 02:49:52. It finished at 04:39:02 —
seconds, gate rc 1. MUST
pass,
fail, 0 skip;
BEHAVIOR 1/0/0; the qualification body 872/872 KILLED; the freeze matched
before and after. The two failures: the installed OMP receiver's writer was
an older build than the source (2f48… against c8f0…),
and the initial Pi relay had appended one newline to an exact body, which
the strict source oracle refused. Neither is the product; one is an install
that aged, the other a trailing byte. P9 at the verdict: 193 unused roots,
5 reclaimable, 312K,
deletions. The coordinator read the log at 04:39:10, compacted its own
context at 04:43:46, wrote red-verdict.json at 04:44:46
(not releasable; preserve original attempt; debug/rerun affected cells
first) — and its turn ended with an assistant record whose content is
empty. No sentence to him. The verdict existed in a file and in a tmux pane
on the host; this house cannot say which one he read.
His morning. 06:32:17, the coordinator seat, his 93rd turn:

characters,
seconds after the verdict file,
after his 02:37 answer. The diary did not move: 513 lines, last heading
still the 18:33 punchout. His morning is in the seat. The coordinator at
06:32:28 (
seconds): only the two failures, the RED and the 872 stay as they are
(paraphrased). The focused run — refresh the owned receiver, re-verify the
Codex cell with a new session and token, plus the owed P6 seat×cwd matrix —
went from before.json 06:34:50 to exit.rc
06:35:55:
seconds; OMP 11 assertions, Codex 65, matrix 39, source edits
. The accepted
file says what it is not: not retrospective P5 aggregate GREEN. So
a final --cut started in a fresh scratch at 06:38:06,
seconds after his word; the coordinator said so at 06:39:05
(),
tmux e031-final, source frozen, P9 immediately after, stop
before npm publish (paraphrased).
While waiting. 06:42:37 the 19:07 Fable's transcript gained its first
cost-state record — the shape Claude Code writes when a
session ends; 116 of the 281 transcripts on this volume end with one, the
open Opus has none. The advisory seat closed. 06:44:12, his 94th turn,
characters: 응 정말 수고 많았다. 거의 다 온것 같구나. 기다리면서, grok 을

seconds after the gate was announced. Thanks, almost there, and then an
instruction that does not touch the gate at all: while we wait, call a new
Grok, fresh eyes, consistency review. The coordinator at 06:44:59: read-only,
no edit, no build, no test, compare code against documents against raw
evidence (paraphrased). entwurf_fresh_call at 06:45:34; the

seconds after his word; callback 06:45:43, confirmed 06:46:31. The Grok
lived
seconds: 110 records, one user message (the brief), 31 assistant messages,
and at 06:54:58 an 11,301-byte review.md headed

and the clean-host setup still say native admission is not yet
accepted and point to #129 as the current boundary; the direction
document points to a branch handoff that 535c2e1 deleted;
DELIVERY.md and the working CHANGELOG say the
admission is done. Its own words for the direction of the error: an
under-claim, not a false green. Its own first instruction: do not fix it
now — the final P5 is running and a tracked edit would void that receipt.
Four observations besides (a table head that says six where the table has
seven rows; a 95/19/21 count that matches a pre-commit log, not a HEAD
re-run; cross-harness means Pi↔durable, not a live Claude; the
newline failure mode was retired by a new run, not a source repair). The
coordinator queued the amendment at 06:56:22 and told him at 06:56:44 —
seconds from his word to Blocker 0, Defect 1.

What waiting is for. A gate that takes an hour and three quarters makes a hole in the morning, and there are two ways to fill it: watch the pane, or use the time on a question the gate cannot answer. The gate asks does the candidate pass its own tests; it cannot ask do the documents say what the tests just proved, because the gate's rule is that nothing tracked may change while it runs — including the sentences about it. So the one kind of defect a frozen gate is structurally blind to is exactly the kind a reader with no hands can find. He did not say any of that. He said thanks, almost there, and while we wait. The coordinator turned fresh eyes into a brief that forbade hands — no edit, no build, no test, output only into an ignored directory — and the Grok's first finding was a defect, its first instruction was do not fix this now, and its classification of the direction was under-claim: the code had gone further than the prose. Brick 88 was about a gate that stopped on a document read too narrowly. This one is about documents that stayed behind the code, found during the gate's own silence by a seat the gate did not know existed. The 84 seconds from his sentence to a new citizen is the cheap number. The expensive one is 6451 — the time a RED verdict sat in a file with no sentence attached, until he came and said go on. A verdict written and not spoken is a gate he has to walk to.

This page is its own corresponding source: every program above is in the HTML you are reading. The runtime is scittle 0.8.33, pinned by the sha256 in its own filename and served from this origin — see the manifest, SBOM and JavaScript licenses. The evaluators are eval.js (cells) and inline.js (sentences), both unminified.
An underlined number was recomputed here and agreed. A dashed one with ⚠ means it was not checked — the sentence still says what this house claims, and you now know it went unverified.
